Gigabyte AERO 15-X9-RT4K5MP 15″ Thin Bezel UHD IPS Adobe RGB 100%, i7-8750H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070, 32GB RAM, M.2 PCIe 1TB SSD, RGB Keyboard, Win10 Pro, 94Wh, Metal Chassis Ultra Slim Gaming Laptop

Pros: Incredibly fast: this laptop is a power with the ninth-generation i7, 32 GB of RAM, and 2070, which supports video editing, programming and gaming. If you are using this as a creative laptop, it is really shocking to see how much it can mean for multitasking.

Just one example: if you use Adobe Premiere, edit code and keep other tabs open, performance hardly changes. The heat only changes when the GPU changes during graphically intensive games.

This giant’s network card is incredibly fast. In addition, the battery deserves some recognition, since it can perform between 6 and 8 hours of office or production work. However, if you are playing, remember to plug it in, since you can have two hours of games with the battery.

The frames on the screen are barely noticeable, and the screen is accurate in terms of color, black is as dark as ink and colors are very vivid, two things that are required for any creative or video edition.

CONS: the sound is not as good as expected, the speakers are sufficient, but it is not surprising to see what gigabytes could contain such a small machine.

My biggest complaint is bloatware.  Fortunately, I could remove it, but others may need a new Windows installation if they need a computer without bloatware.

The GPU is fantastic, but it has the disadvantage that the GPU is forced to go into power saving mode, which you must consider and turn off manually. This is not a brand, but a disadvantage, as it may not be recognizable by some consumers. Gigabyte clearly did this on purpose, which does not mean they had no reason to do this part of the laptop and try to extend the battery life.

My biggest complaint is with the mouse: sometimes there is a delay in using the touchpad. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers to stop the response delay.

Overall rating: In general, this laptop is a good option if you need a desktop replacement in a portable package and have the money. Among the competitors of Razer, MSI, Asus, Lenovo, Alienware and others in the gaming notebook market, this performance exceeds the margin. It is a good option, but keep in mind that there are always other options. If you have to use this for work, especially for website design and video editing, it works like magic in all areas.
