The Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones II are light and flexible. I really like that the headphones are not static and can rotate a bit. Makes it easier to carry in my opinion. The headband can be easily extended and the materials used for construction feel very solid. The padding on the headband is probably the only thing that would change. It is soft and comfortable to wear, but it is covered with some kind of suede, which leads me to believe that it will absorb sweat and other oils over time and will wear out. I would have preferred to see this leather-covered upholstery instead.

The inside of the headphones is marked with an “L” and an “R” to show you how to use the headphones. One thing I did notice was that the actual speaker inside the hearing aid appears to be angled towards your ear. Many of my other headphones only have a flat speaker. I couldn’t find out that this type of alignment affected sound quality or volume, but I’m sure the design was created on purpose. The padding of the headphones is very nice and seems to wear well. I noticed that the foam segments are not removed from the cups like magnets, but it seems that they could break the cups of the ears. I did not want to damage the foam and did not try to separate it.

These headphones have physical switches, which is kind of weird these days. Most of the headphones I’ve seen lately seem to use touch controls (Sony headphones only have touch controls). Therefore, the tactile nature of the buttons and switches on the Bose headphones was a good departure from what I was used to. Sometimes I’m not a fan of physical switches because they get caught up in things like hoodies, but the on / off switch on the right atrium is designed to avoid the usual problem. In addition to the on / off switch, you will also find the volume buttons and the play / pause button on the right earcup. On the left earphone is the button with the Google Assistant / ANR settings.

At the bottom of the two headphones there is also a connector to plug in the micro USB charging cable and the audio cable for a cable connection. Although micro-USB has been a standard for this type of charger for some time, Bose should have taken the opportunity to switch to USB-C for a new product like this.
