The HyperX Cloud Stinger main cable with a single 3.5mm jack connects directly to the headphone / microphone combo jack on most laptops, PS4, Xbox One, smartphones and other portable devices. Use the supplied extension cable with separate headphone and microphone jacks to connect the HyperX Cloud Stinger to the headphone output on the desktop PC and to the microphone input jacks.
HyperX Cloud Stinger Gaming Headset – I bought the Hyperx Cloud Stinger and currently give it 4 stars. However, it is very likely to be a 5-star headset. I just want some time to make sure. So far I can honestly say this headset is worth it. Remember I have only had it for about a week! It is very comfortable, it has an excellent sound, price, it seems to work very well with Xbox One and it is made with quality. I don’t think I can find a headset that is better than this in this price range, and many say that based on what I’ve read, this headset is better than very expensive. You might get another Hyperx Cloud headset with an audio mixer and a mute button, as I’m not sure I’ll get used to moving the mic up and down to mute it like it does with the stinger I have to do (I’m used to a mute button on the controller that makes mute quick and easy) and I want to control the volume settings without going into my Xbox’s audio settings, or hopefully Xbox will make an easier option for this and mute . (You don’t need the adapter with this Xbox One headset if you have the controller with a 3.5mm jack.)
They are very comfortable for me (I am a woman and most of them are not comfortable and they are too big for me, but it fits quite comfortably without these headphones). If configured larger, it also suits my friend, so this is a great earphone for women or men.
I am not an audio / sound assistant or professional, but the sound has been very good so far. I mainly played Fortnite br and Destiny 2 with this earphone. I still play different games to see the difference between different sounds and use the volume mixer settings on Xbox One to see what sounds best. On Xbox One, I can press the Home button, switch to System, and then Audio to control the volume of the headphones, adjust the headphone’s chat mixer, or do microphone mounts. This earpiece has the slider on the right ear, so you can adjust all volume levels on the XB1. Then just use the volume control on the ear of the earphone if it is too high or low. After playing around a bit more, I no longer have to go back to the audio settings on Xbox to adjust it. I left it at a certain level which seems to work very well. I liked having all these volume control settings next to the controller, but maybe I can get used to it again. The last thing is that I try Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos for headphones because I have read that you can use these functions with headphones that do not have or do not have surround sound and, as some say, it makes a big difference. I’m still testing this on Xbox One to see if they make a difference in sound.
